With the two powerful lasers of HED HIBEF Alejandro Laso Garcia from Helmholtz-Zentrum Dresden-Rossendorf (HZDR) tests a special imaging method and a new setup for small-angle X-ray scattering*. He is especially interested in the study of foams. But the knowledge and experience he gains will also be very valuable for future beamtime. At HED HIBEF you can as well create very extreme conditions, like in the interior of the Sun, the Earth or other planets. And experiments like that can also help to understand processes like nuclear fusion.
* HIBEF stands for Helmholtz International Beamline for Extreme Fields
